The rdGrass system is a replacement to the Landscape Grass system. It can be used with landscapes or staticmeshes and is built from a combination of contours, landscape materials, noise generation, splatmaps and flowmaps.
When preparing a game level for rdGrass (and it works well sharing for all foliage) a matrix of rdProceduralActors is laid out over the landscape. When using rdLandscapes these can be the same size as the landscape tiles (rdLandscapes can also automatically create the rdProcedural matrix).
Behind the scenes in background threads the closest rdProceduralActors are prepared from their descriptions/maps and their transforms are stored in the base rdBakedData ready to be spawned/moved with the Frustum or Radius based population systems.
