rdSplineTools Tutorial 11 – Aligning Spline Points to the Landscape

You can save a lot of time by quickly adding spline points to your landscape, subdividing and adjusting to fit, then aligning the entire spline to the landscape.

It’s easy to do, with one menu command.

Step 1. Create or load a Blueprint Spline

Create a spline with many points, don’t worry about the Z value, just make the shape as you want.

Step 2. Select all Points and Set to Landscape

Now select all the splines points, right-click and choose the “Set Height to Landscape” option.

Step 3. Done.

That’s it – now those points will be aligned to the landscape.
